Sara Persico’s path into electronic music has been anything but linear. With a classical vocal education from the conservatories of Naples and Bologna, she has shaped a practice where the voice breaks away from tradition and steps into a raw, electronic space. Working intuitively and physically with her voice, she lets it act as the driving force in a compelling sonic world, interwoven with distorted rhythms, deconstructed beats and ominous textures. The result is music that provokes both goosebumps and a shiver down the spine.
From the Neapolitan underground, Persico has moved far beyond Italy’s borders, performing at renowned venues and festivals such as CTM Festival, documenta fifteen and Rewire Festival. She has collaborated with artists including Caterina Barbieri, Elvin Brandhi and Andy Moor. With her debut album Boundary (Karlrecords, 2023) and the critically acclaimed follow-up Sphaîra (Subtext Recordings, 2025), she has unfolded her singular sonic universe and established herself as one of the most compelling names on the experimental electronic scene. Experience Sara Persico live at ALICE this April.
