Organization

For the period 2025–2028, ALICE has been designated a Regional Venue with support from the Danish Arts Foundation and the City of Copenhagen. ALICE is run by the ALICE Foundation. The Board uses the recommendations of the Committee on Good Foundation Governance as a guideline in its work and follows all recommendations regarding:

The Board consists of:

Rikke Frisk
Chair – Term of appointment: 2020–2023 (Previous term: 2017–2020)

  • Executive Producer at CPH Opera Festival

  • Partner in the cultural production collective Indgreb

  • Professional experience in music including former Managing Director of Strøm Festival and Secretariat Head for Copenhagen’s three-year hosting of WOMEX – the World Music Expo, as well as various concert and festival productions

  • Board member of the venue Global prior to joining the ALICE Foundation

  • Member of the City of Copenhagen’s Music Committee

Mathias Findalen Bickersteth
Acting Vice Chair – Term of appointment: 2024–2027

  • Programme Manager at the Tuborg Foundation

  • Fellow at the Crown Princess Mary Center and Associate Fellow at the Artistic Activism Research CoLab (AARC), curated by the New York–based Center for Artistic Activism

  • Former head of Rapolitics and has worked at organizations including International Media Support and the Danish Institute for Human Rights

  • Former external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen (KUA) and teacher at Krogerup Folk High School

  • Serves on advisory boards at Goodpeople and Operation Dagsværk

  • Recipient of both Carl Nielsen’s Talent Prize with the band The Kikos and a Danish Music Award (Roots) with the band Tuhaf

 

Rasmus Stolberg
Board Member – Term of appointment: 2025–2028

  • 20+ years’ experience on the international music scene as member and manager of the band Efterklang

  • Booker and producer for Brodie, which has produced live sessions and events since 2019

  • Co-founder of The Lake Radio and board member (2015–2025)

  • Co-founder and booker of By The Lake Festival in Berlin (2015–2018) and Badesøen Festival (2016–2020)

  • Co-founder and label manager of the record label Rumraket (2005–2011)

  • Degree in Music Management from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (2005–2009)


Jonas Kjellmann
Board Member – Term of appointment: 2025–2028

  • Lawyer at SIRIUS advokater

  • Specializes in non-profit and commercial matters in the cultural sector, including contracts, organization, negotiations, and regulatory issues

  • Previous experience at Kromann Reumert in dispute resolution, company law, marketing law, and IP

  • International experience including at the UN General Assembly’s Sixth Committee in New York and at DIGNITY (Danish Institute Against Torture)

  • Newly elected board member of the ALICE Foundation with a particular focus on strengthening the framework for the cultural and music sectors

 


From ALICE’s statutes, section 4.3:
Board members are appointed for three years at a time and may be reappointed, but for a maximum continuous period of nine years.
