ALICE and Musikhuset København are proud to bring the amazing cellist, composer and improviser Okkyung Lee back to Copenhagen with a solo-performance in the stunning surroundings of Musikhuset. Throughout her career, Okkyung Lee has displayed an adventurous spirit, always evolving as an artist and able to span the wildest sonic extremes – from gentle minimalism to harsh noise. She has collaborated with a wide range of artists such as Laurie Anderson, Swans, John Zorn, Thurston Moore and Bill Orcutt, but she is also incredible as a solo performer.

This evening, Okkyung Lee is supported by Alto Aria. Alto Aria is the name of Maria Leth Schütze’s solo project. With the project, she investigates relations between acoustic and electronic sound, and focuses on transformation and transition as a starting point in her music.
