The world historical timing was on point when Liraz released her third album “Roya” simultaneously with the current Iranian protest wave. Liraz has taken her shimmering electro-pop underground. Liraz and her Israeli sextet (three women, three men) recorded ‘Roya’ over ten days in Istanbul, in a basement studio hidden from public view and crackling with creativity. Everything had to be secretive to avoid the gaze of Tehran’s mullahs and secret police. While the concert hall at Nørre Allé 7 is getting a new ventilation system, ALICE is moving into the music venue Stairway in Vanløse on January 1st 2023.
