Les Soeurs Doga & Viktor Marek
Haoua and Azera Doga, collectively known as “Les Soeurs Doga” are twin sisters hailing from Burkina Faso’s capital of Ouagadougou. Since the early 2000s, they have been captivating audiences with their dynamic and spirited sound. Seamlessly switching between idioms sung in their native language Mooré and rap-like chants, they address the challenges facing their homeland—such as famine and terrorism— while transforming these weighty issues into uplifting, festive, and enthusiastic call-and-response anthems. This unique blend has made them a household name at home.

Haoua and Azera Doga are joined by sampling wizard Viktor Marek. The German DJ and producer is a familiar name at Hamburg’s iconic Golden Pudel Club and is known for his work with projects such as The Kings of Dubrock, 8 Doogymoto, and his collaboration with sitar virtuoso Ashraf Sharif Khan. Les Soeurs Doga & Marek first teamed up on Viktor Marek’s 2023 track “Like This, Like That”, and last year, they released the songs “Bayiri” and “Mashallah” together.
