The festival has existed since 2009 and is Denmark’s largest festival for experimental contemporary music. This year’s program brings together an unusually wide range of artistic voices, perspectives, and approaches. In recent years, Klang has deliberately expanded what it presents and how it presents it. The team has looked toward new stages, forged new collaborations, and explored new frameworks for listening. At ALICE, no fewer than five Klang Festival events will take place between June 12 and 14. Here you can experience everything from the composer music of tomorrow with Nyklang, to rhythms and tones inspired by kombucha fermentation with LYD PORT × NEKO3, to a listening session and memorial event for the late composer Marcus Lease.
