Crack Cloud CA

Live-notorious Canadian art collective takes over ALICE with a new album

Crack Cloud is notorious for their captivating live shows and artistic fearlessness. Using music as a rehabilitation outlet, the group breaks with traditional dogmas and shapes a sound where raw punk energy is joined by vibrant orchestral elements and playful instrumental twists. This spring, the Canadian alternative collective hits ALICE with a brand new album, following up on the acclaimed Red Mile from last year.

Note: The tickets will go on sale on the 4th of December at 2 PM

With founder, vocalist, and drummer Zach Choy leading the way, Crack Cloud originally formed as a rehabilitation project in Vancouver, where members lived together in a large music and media collective. Here, music and art became a vital creative outlet, which on the band’s first two releases took shape as an explosive alt-punk organism where tight rhythms and political edge blended with the skewed musicality and instrumental playfulness reminiscent of Talking Heads. On their third album Red Mile (2024), the group pushed their experiments even further, amplifying their raw punk drive with vibrant orchestral arrangements, sweeping strings, and dramatic buildups. The album received glowing praise from outlets like The Guardian and The Alternative, which hailed it as phenomenal. When Crack Cloud performs at ALICE, they will be presenting a new album — and we can hardly contain our excitement to hear what they have created this time. Anything can happen!

Since their debut, Crack Cloud has burst across stages worldwide — including Mayhem, Hotel Cecil, and Roskilde Festival, where they delivered one of the standout concerts of 2019. The collective counts more than 20 members who have appeared live in shifting formations. When Crack Cloud arrives at ALICE, the lineup will include Zach Choy, Aleem Khan, Bryce Cloghesy, Will Choy, Danish artist Emma Acs, Eve Adams, and Nathaniel Philips.
