Cole Pulice US

Pastoral chamber jazz on saxophone and pedals

You’ll hardly get any closer to an uplifting, spiritual experience than this at ALICE. Saxophonist, composer, and improviser Cole Pulice creates breathtaking ambient soundscapes by merging traditional saxophone with electronic music. Join us and float away to their sound!

Cole Pulice (pronounced puh-lee-ché) is like landing on a cloud and floating away on it. The American saxophonist, composer, and improviser crafts experimental jazz of incredible beauty. At first glance, it might look like Cole Pulice is “just” playing the saxophone. But look closer, and you’ll see a tangle of cables, pedals, and synthesizers surrounding the musician, transforming the wind instrument’s tones into data. Cole Pulice seamlessly fuses the traditional saxophone with electronic music, resulting in a kaleidoscopic, meditative, and psychedelic sound.

In the spring of 2025, Cole Pulice released their latest solo album, ‘Land’s End Eternal’. In its glowing review, Pitchfork wrote that Cole Pulice’s music “manifests a state of animated suspension.” Something seems to be on the verge of happening … perhaps. On the album, they introduced electric guitar and choral arrangements, drifting slightly away from pure ambience and into something more jazz-inflected. Cole Pulice has performed at Pitchfork Music Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Waking Life, Rewire, ÜBERJAZZ, Drone Not Drones, and Noise Pop Festival. And now they will come to us at ALICE! Get ready to step into Cole Pulice’s wondrous world of sound together with us.
