The Copenhagen-based platform BUKHAR have curated a club night at ALICE with three different dj sets. You’ll be enveloped in shatta, Moroccan trap, and old school trance, as Malika Mahmoud, Noise Diva, and Lucy Headburn b2b Sham enter the floor.

BUKHAR
BUKHAR is a Copenhagen-based music and event platform founded in 2022. Rooted in cultures from the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region, BUKHAR creates genre-expanding events that weave together traditional heritage and contemporary sounds.

Through BUKHAR, the founders aim to cultivate the presence of creatives who, like themselves, don’t feel fully represented in Denmark’s club culture. By introducing and amplifying underground musical styles and pushing their curatorial practice across borders, BUKHAR celebrates their own cultures while building a platform for communities who share similar experiences and desires for representation.

Noise Diva (DJ)
Noise Diva is an Amsterdam-based producer and DJ. Her musical stylings bridge together a variety of genres, from Moroccan trap to Egyptian R&B, French drill, dancehall, and UK garage, weaving together stories that transcend the dancefloor, while ensuring that dancers stay hot on their toes. The ecstatic flow that she creates in her sets is always unexpected, and yet guaranteed to create intimate connections around the DJ booth.

Malika Mahmoud (DJ)
She’s had a BUKHAR folder in her music library for +3 years leading up to this set. Expect mahraganat, dabke, hard drum, shatta, traditional arabic folk.

Sham b2b Lucy Headburn (DJ)
Known for her impeccable focus and presence behind the decks, Sham consistently provides suggestive, ever-flowing grooves beneath hypnotizing atmospheres. Lucy Headburn, an Iraqi DJ and founder of the Trancefarmer podcast on Retreat Radio, draws from early Goa trance to shape ecstatic, trance-infused club journeys. Together, they merge their distinct approaches into a shared language – combining the raw energy of drum & bass with percussive textures and melodic influences drawn from their Syrian and Iraqi heritage.
