ALICE TUNES IN: AK Cinder x 1aurenrossetti DK/SE + SoundOkapi DK + olufappelhansen DK + Cortes x E.W.E. DK/INT

Volunteer-driven concert format opens the hall to emerging musical projects

In a series of recurring live events, ALICE TUNES IN opens the doors to new and experimental musical projects and ideas. The concert format transforms ALICE’s familiar stage into an exploratory meeting place for both new and experienced artists. With budding new sounds and voices, the audience is invited to four short and intimate sets that grow together into an evening focused on curiosity, community, and new artistic experiments.

ALICE TUNES IN is run and curated in collaboration with a dedicated volunteer group from ALICE’s existing community. Following the success of the first edition, we are excited to present the second evening of our concert series. The programme opens with dark art-pop and hybrid music of the duo AK Cinder x 1aurenrossetti. This is followed by improvised natural timbres on the Terra synthesiser performed by organist SoundOkapi, the melancholic and dreamy soundscapes of Olufappelhansen, and a finale featuring a wide range of wind instruments performed by the high-energy and danceable ensemble Cortes x E.W.E.

OBS: The concert is for free but a ticket is required

AK Cinder x 1aurenrossetti

The Swedish experimental duo AK Cinder x 1aurenrossetti merge two distinct artistic projects into a shared audiovisual live concept. The Copenhagen-based artists blend deconstructed compositions, electronic sound design and vocals to create hybrid music where experimental structures meet pop sensibility. Their live performance extends the music into an immersive audiovisual environment, where sound, light and projection form a unified sensory palette, blurring the boundaries between concert, ritual and digital installation. Expect a forward-thinking performance with ethereal and glitchy art-pop melodies.

SoundOkapi

SoundOkapi performs an improvised set on the unique Terra synthesizer – an exceptionally versatile and expressive instrument capable of ranging from the faintest whisper to a sonic inferno. In SoundOkapi’s hands, the instrument unfolds from the minimalist and meditative to more groove-driven and noise-infused textures. With a classical background as a trained organist, the Lolland-based SoundOkapi has composed works across a wide range of genres and released eight albums and one EP. Since 2020, he has moved into a new artistic practice as an improviser on electronic instruments.

olufappelhansen

olufappelhansen combines elements from shoegaze, indie and psychedelic rock into a melancholic project. With his lingering vocal and vulnerable lyrics he explores universal themes, from loneliness to love. Reverb, synth and contrasting traditions creates an atmospheric, dark and dreamy musical terrain. At ALICE TUNES IN he will perform with a five piece band and we look forward to being invited into their honest and curious sound universe.

Cortes x E.W.E

Cortes x E.W.E is a six-piece high-energy ensemble created and composed by Thomas Cortes, in which the horn section reimagines the role of horns as engines of the dance floor. With saxophones, flute, trumpet, trombone, drum machine, and synthesizer at the forefront, the project draws inspiration from the origins of the big band tradition as music created for movement, energy, and collective experience. Here, the horns move into a contemporary club universe. The ensemble brings together musicians from the Copenhagen scene in an international lineup that unfolds the full palette of big band horns in a compact and forward-looking format.
