We are delighted to welcome her to ALICE this October for her first-ever concert in Denmark.

As one of the defining voices of Brazil’s alternative music scene, Ava Rocha has spent the past decade developing a uniquely personal artistic universe spanning music, visual art, performance, and film. Rooted in samba, bossa, and broader Latin American musical traditions, her warm, dramatic voice meets echoes of Western pop and rock as she moves effortlessly between genres and experimental forms. The result is a visually surreal, glittering world where sequins, theatricality, and fearless creativity go hand in hand.

Rocha has released a string of critically acclaimed albums, most recently the Thiago Nassif and Jonas Sá-produced NEKTAR (2023), which earned praise from outlets including The New York Times, NPR, and Sounds and Colours. Her distinctive songs have also caught the attention of punk icon Iggy Pop, who featured her music on his BBC Radio 6 Music show.
