This December, DFUNK invites you to Ṣumūd – a cultural festival celebrating the diversity of Arab culture and the communities that come together across boundaries through music, art, literature, talks, and shared experiences.

Ṣumūd (صمود) is an Arabic word meaning steadfastness and resilience. It is about holding on to what sustains us and finding strength in our stories, our culture, and one another.

We bring together voices, perspectives, and creative expressions that tell stories of identity, belonging, resilience, and hope. We celebrate the culture, music, art, and voices that insist on challenging narrow narratives and claiming space to exist.
