Beverly Glenn-Copeland CA

Legendary composer, singer, and trans activist invites audiences to a spiritual and deeply moving concert experience at Bellevue Theatre

ALICE and Bellevue Theatre present the legendary Canadian musician, composer, and trans activist Beverly Glenn-Copeland for his very first concert in Denmark. With more than five decades of groundbreaking music behind him, Glenn-Copeland has created a singular sonic universe where folk, electronic music, and spiritual traditions merge into deeply human stories of community, care, and hope. We are honored to present the visionary artist this September.

Please note: The concert is held at Bellevue Teatret, and tickets can be bought through the theatre’s website.

Beverly Glenn-Copeland is a true pioneer whose music revolves around the connections between people—and the healing power that arises when we listen to one another. Born in Philadelphia and based in Canada, he has over the decades built a unique body of work where folk, meditative electronics, and spiritual reflection meet in compositions of otherworldly beauty. His cult album Keyboard Fantasies from 1986 – created with some of the earliest drum machines and synthesizers and inspired by nature and science fiction – only received its well-deserved recognition decades after its release and has since achieved iconic status within ambient and experimental music communities around the world. Alongside his musical work, Beverly Glenn-Copeland has for years been an important advocate for trans visibility and for dialogue across generations.

This year, Beverly Glenn-Copeland released the album Laughter in Summer (Transgressive Records, 2026) – a luminous and moving meditation on love, companionship, aging, and transcendence, widely praised as one of the most poignant works of his career and created in collaboration with his life partner, Elisabeth Glenn-Copeland. His live performances are intimate and spiritual experiences where past and present meet, inviting audiences into a shared space for reflection, healing, and celebration. Expect nothing less than a deeply moving concert experience when Beverly Glenn-Copeland takes the stage at Bellevue Theatre with his duo. The concert is presented in collaboration with ALICE.
