ALICE is proud to welcome the experimental outsiders in The Legendary Pink Dots celebrating 40 years of existence. The Dutch/British group has forged its very own path in contemporary music, releasing an overwhelming amount of releases – the latest one being the album “Angel in the Detail”. Their music touches on elements of neo-psychedelia, ambient music, electronic music, tape music, industrial, psychedelic folk, synthpop, post-punk, progressive, jazz, noise, pop, and goth rock, with a distinctly experimental/avant-garde bent; their sound has evolved over time and remains distinctive, making it difficult to place the group into a concise style or genre. The group’s overall sound combined with Ka-Spel’s distinct lyrics and singing have earned comparisons to Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett; the group also has links to the sounds of krautrock bands such as Can, Faust, Brainticket, Magma or Neu! The band will perform a rare Danish show at Vinterjazz 2020. Danish cult artist Per Hoier will open the night with his idiosyncratic music which can best be described as electronic pop hits from a parallel universe. Per Hoier has collaborated with artists such as Goodiepal, Bjørn Svin and Düreforsög.
