The brilliant American guitarist and singer Ryley Walker finally returns to Copenhagen, carrying the torch of folk pioneers such as Bert Jansch and Tim Buckley while mixing the folk sound with dreamy psychedelics and journeys into jazz improvisation.
Note: The concert takes place at Musikcaféen, Huset. The concert is part of ALICE’s membership programme.
In 2021, Walker released the album “Course in Fable”, an album that sees him exploring psychedelic folk and prog rock. The album received critical praise. Uncut wrote: “It’s a short, ineluctably lovely set, light, bright and often dizzyingly joyful, but also thrillingly unpredictable, with complex, jazzy arrangements against which Walker’s phasing gently pushes and pulls.”
Without doubt, we’ll get the pleasure of hearing some of these songs live as Ryley Walker performs at ALICE this summer.
