Czar
Czar is back! And with no regrets. After a hiatus on a couple of years their album “Antistemning” was remixed and released for the first on vinyl through OVER THE UNDER RECORDS, and thus it was confirmed – Czar was not done yet. Now they have been in Jacob Bredahl’s DEAD RAT STUDIO to record their next record. The result is one half of a split vinyl with danish doom band Katla and is set to be released October 2022.
The music is hardcore metal with elements of punk, rock, chaos and a lot more. The energy level is high and the mood is hectic and manic. Expect nothing but blood, sweat and tears.
Drukner
Drukner is a doom metal band from Copenhagen, Denmark. They released their self-titled debut album in 2016 and have since released a split with Gaia in 2019 as well as a re-recording of the closing track of their debut later that year. With lyrics revolving around struggle, forces of nature and the futility of it all, Drukner is ultimately a channel for depression. The band name being Danish for drowning, Drukner will drag you down with them and keep you there until your air is up and all you can do is submit.
Puke Wolf
Puke Wolf play emotional post-hardcore using their music to vent frustrations and aversions for our modern, heartless society. Hopefully the audience can and will partake too. They are a part of it whether it is on a stage or a record. It is indeed meant to be a cathartic experience.
The trio doesn’t have a front figure since all three members contribute with vocals that range from roaring and angry to piercing and lamenting. The music can oftentimes seem chaotic and uncontrollable, but in the midst of the storm there will always be a melodic or rhythmic anchor to keep the listener grounded. Melancholy will always be at the center – wear your heart on your sleeve – it’s okay if it hurts.
Vægtløs
Vægtløs focuses on a vulnerability and openness that are lacking in the music scene, but also in society, in general. Life is fleeting and fragile, and Vægtløs is a bridge to gap between the monumental emotional dread underlying the fact that all beauty will eventually die and the cathartic strength found in music.
Vægtløs are scene veterans coming together for their love of everything emotionally heavy, passionate, honest and sincere. The band is not afraid to wear their heart on their sleeves and paint a scenery of the remote and primitive Nordic landscape that is both silent and loud. In these immensely bleak times, the need for melancholic and desolate music has never been greater.
Vægtløs pours every last bit of passion into their aggressive yet emotional music which can be described as intense and atmospheric post-metal with hints of black metal, post-rock, post-hardcore, and emo, eventhough it is not a distinct variation of neither of those, but a mutated multifaceted modification of the sum.
