Apotome Live: Khyam Allami + Tyler Friedman, Arash Pandi, Xenia Xamanek & Ryong

Experimental electronic

Experience what decolonized music composition could sound like when composer and researcher Khyam Allami demonstrates his horizon-expanding digital technology for truly free artistic creation.

Note: The concert is a part of Gong Tomorrow 2021 and will take place at VOLUME.

Apotome was created as a tool to help counter the cultural asymmetry embedded in modern music-making tools, which share a bias inherited from Western music theory and culture. With his horizon-expanding method, Khyam Allami point towards more liberated, creative, inclusive, and culturally balanced music-making processes.

During Gong Tomorrow 2021, Apotome will be showcased and debated in various ways, including a live performance at Volume involving local musicians from Copenhagen.
