Experience composer and guitarist Jakob Bro in a brand new collaboration with the Japanese percussion icon Midori Takada, alongside sparkling interplay between trumpeter Nils Petter Molvær, drummer Marilyn Mazur, and German cellist Anja Lechner.

Note: The concert takes place in Dronningesalen, Den Sorte Diamant. Nils Petter Molvær will play instead of Palle Mikkelborg.

For more than 20 years, Jakob Bro has created unforgettable musical experiences, on records as well as on the stage. Collaborating with both Danish and international artists, Jacob Bro has time and time again demonstrated a unique melodic and aesthetic sensibility that seems to transcend time and place. Now he is back with a brand new collaboration with the international ambient/percussion icon Midori Takada, who transforms traditional Japanese and African percussion techniques into seductive, meditative modern ambient.

In the second part of the evening, a brand new quartet will take the stage together for the first time in Denmark. Jakob Bro and Palle Mikkelborg played together on the critically acclaimed “Returnings” from 2018, and will be joined by the percussionist Marilyn Mazur and German cellist Anja Lechner.
