The highly acclaimed Danish jazz drummer Emil de Waal and the electronic musician Spejderrobot have released two albums together since they met in 2007. This February, 12 years and 500 concerts later, and after 7 years of silence, they are ready to celebrate their anniversary with their third album. With characteristics of restless electronica and acoustic improvised jazz, the record synthesizes and reflects several of the musical impressions and experiences from the two artists. The record is made in collaboration with the legendary American producer and bassist Bill Laswell (Brian Eno, Whitney Houston, Fela Kuti). A collaboration that started with a concert they all played together at Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2019. As a part of Vinterjazz 2020, Emil de Waal + Spejderrobot will play at ALICE with support from the young Danish producer Vera Gerup and her project Teo.
