After a hypnotizing performance at Vinterjazz 2020, Trance-rock quartet Antistatic is reuniting with Danish visual artist Ingerlise Øllgaard for a release show at Alice. Copenhagen-based Polish drummer Szymon Pimpon Gąsiorek will play a post tribal acoustic solo set on drums. The event is organized together with Copenhagen based record label and art collective Noisy Beehive for their audio-visual performance series at Alice.

ANTISTATIC Antistatic performs an innovative and highly rhythmical style of minimal trance-rock. Incorporating influences from modern classical music, techno, noise rock and heavy metal, the Copenhagen-based quartet turns typical conceptualisations of rock instrumentation inside out, often eschewing distorted riffs for tight percussive passages. October 13th is the release date for Antistatic’s awaited debut release, “Drop Dive Breach”, consiting of three long, trance-inducing yet groovy tracks. It will be available on cassette tapes and digitally.

Ingerlise Øllgaard Thematically concerned with ideas of expressing and defining identity, visual artist Ingerlise Oellgaard produces ominously dark and eloquently beautiful and spirited photographs and visual installations. Through the lens of explorative-documentarism and dynamic photography, she excels at capturing the power of hidden vulnerability and the process of continually discovering and accepting oneself. Her work evolves around gender, identity and activism. Ingerlise Øllgaard is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. With Antistatic Øllgaard will show visuals from social housing areas shot England, where rigid forms, borders and architectural atmosphere mirrors quartets repetitive and hypnotising music.

Szymon Pimpon Gąsiorek Szymon Pimpon Gąsiorek is a Copenhagen-based Polish drummer, composer and improviser. Graduated from Rhythmic Music Conservatory. He is a leader and co-leader of such bands as: Pimpono Ensemble, E/I, The Love And Beauty Seekers, Wood Organization, I Love My Mother, Alfons Slik or Czajka & Puchacz. Co-founder of an independent label Love & Beauty Music and international genre-free Idealistic Festival. In his radio show Trans-Bałtyk, he presents Copenhagen music underground at Polish Radio Kapitał. His recent solo works are genre-bending explorations, where ancient drumming meets present pop culture sound, together pointing into future.
