The mixed Argentine-Peruvian duo Ricarda Cometa blends percussive sounding guitar lines with some fiery and precise drums. Influenced by no-wave, math rock, african / latin, and asian ritual music they are always exploring and expanding through improvisation the sounds that inhabit the verge of rhythm and noise. Originally a trio, Ricarda Cometa clearly demonstrated on their most recent album ‘Ricarda Cometa 2’ just how powerful and thrilling they can sound stripped down to just two musicians – Jorge Espinal on guitar and Tatiana Heuman on drums. As a live-act they are hard to match!
Virginia Genta (amplified saxophones), Brandon Lopez (bass) and David Vanzan (drums) get together as JOOKLO TRIO to deliver some heavy electric jams where free improvisation can take the most dark and frightening shapes through feedbacks, screams and scatterings. A surprising fusion of noise, punk and jazz always on the edge between known and unknown, good and evil, black and white, in and out, up and down.
