Glitchcore, noise, and percussion are infused with captivating visuals in the grand and ambitious work “無形將軍 Invisible General,” created through a collaboration between the Taiwanese electronic producer Meuko! Meuko! and visual artist NONEYE (NAXS corp). Experience their exploration of mythology, tech-animalism, and gaming culture as they perform their dystopian work at ALICE in April. Danish electronic musician Alto Aria will open the evening.

Meuko! Meuko!
Behind Meuko! Meuko! is Taiwanese electronic producer and live performer Pon, who is part of a strong underground scene in Taipei but has also made waves in the electronic scene in Berlin. She emerged onto the experimental music scene in 2017 with her unique sound and overwhelming live shows, where glitchcore, noise, techno, and samples are combined with lavish visuals created in collaboration with Taipei-based A/V artist NONEYE. Their themes revolve around mythology, tech-animalism, and gaming culture in their dystopian works.

Meuko! Meuko! has performed her ambitious A/V works live at numerous festivals and venues, including Unsound, Sónar, Primavera Sound, and Hyperreality. Each of her shows is different each time, drawing on improvisation and elements of new works, field recordings, and samples from Taiwanese ritual music. A new overwhelming sensory experience always awaits when Meuko! Meuko! takes the stage.

Alto Aria
Alto Aria is the name of Aria Leth Schütze’s solo project. With the project, they explore the relationships between acoustic and electronic sound, focusing on transformation and transition. Their debut album “Tides,” released on Rhizome, focuses on the tide and becoming a body of water. Aria has also released the experimental piece “For Marta,” which explores friendship and circularity, and the album “Shapes,” which delves into dreams based on a dream diary. They have also released the albums “Sowing Worlds,” “Ties,” “Touch,” and in February 2024, the heartbreak album “Limerence.”
