Known for their adventurous musical search through the outer limits, Kalaha have captivated audiences and critics alike. The band uses elements of everything from psych rock and improv jazz to Anatolian funk and acid techno to create a trance inducing atmosphere. On their critically acclaimed recent album “Mystafa” Kalaha visit all four corners of the world; there is Brazilian samba from the West, Turkish 70s style music from the East, African highlife and desert blues from the South and Uffe Lorenzen, plus rising Danish folk star, Hjalte Ross, from the North. ALICE is happy to bring back the band, this time with a show at Valby Kulturhus. Here they are joined by frequent collaborator, the charismatic singer Hilal Kaya who will bring the Anatolian funk and Turkish psych to the stage. DJ Brevet join the party and play dance friendly music before and after the show.
