Labelled ‘The Golden Voice of Africa’, Pat Thomas has had a defining influence on highlife, afro-beat and afro-pop, not least through his long-lasting collaboration with Ebo Taylor. The come-back album ‘Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band’ (Strut, 2015) was a triumph that sent him on a massive tour, which also brought the band to Roskilde Festival in 2016. Here the band created a wild dance party and received rave reviews.
