The charismatic London-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist GB (Pardans, Gusse B, and Dirt Bike) will perform at ALICE with his quintet in February, showcasing his beautiful debut album “Gusse Music” (Posh Isolation, 2024) – a musical collage of experimental guitar songs featuring symphonic elements and pop overtones. Alba Akvama will open the evening with intimate, guitar-driven songs from her upcoming debut release.

Charismatic singer, songwriter, and guitarist Gustav Berntsen has been an essential part of the Danish alternative scene for the past 10 years with bands and projects like Pardans, Gusse B, and Dirt Bike. Now based in London, he is currently active with his solo project GB, and in May 2024, he released the beautiful debut album “Gusse Music” on Posh Isolation. The album highlights GB’s songwriting and compositional skills in a special way, presenting a 33-minute musical collage of experimental guitar songs. In an atmospheric and texture-heavy soundscape, symphonic elements, references to rock traditions, and experimental pop are interwoven, with lyrics that revolve around themes of loneliness, longing, melancholy, and hope—always with a touch of humor. GB will perform at ALICE in February with his quintet.

Alba Akvama
Composer and songwriter Alba Akvama is a fresh name on the Copenhagen music scene. Combining orchestral MIDI elements, open-tuned guitars, and jazz-inspired chords, she builds her music around minimal and repetitive melodic patterns that draw the listener into a universe that feels both eclectic, conceptual, and genuine. Alba Akvama is currently finalizing her debut release, a collection of intimate and introspective songs. We look forward to her opening the evening for GB in a trio formation.
