Three of contemporary music’s true originals join forces for a special night at ALICE where you can expect anything from avant-garde composition and vivid sound collage to pastoral pop and progressive rock. Daniel O’Sullivan, who is known from Grumbling Fur and several other projects including Ulver, This Is Not This Heat and his collaborations with Charlemagne Palestine, will perform the ambitious songs from his acclaimed solo-album ‘Folly’ with a full band. The album was produced by the enigmatic Thighpaulsandra, who will also perform a solo show on the night. Thighpaulsandra was for several years part of the legendary group Coil. He has also worked with Elizabeth Fraser, Spiritualized and many more and he has released some highly original pieces of work in his own name, such as the recent triple LP ’The Golden Communion’. The evening is opened by Peter Broderick who has worked with artists such as Efterklang and Nils Frahm and whose oeuvre spans everything from minimalistic folk gems to music for theater and dance productions. At ALICE he will perform music by avant-garde composer John Cage.
