The Copenhagen-based platform BUKHAR presents a club night at ALICE featuring three strong names from Cairo’s underground and the Danish club scene. You’ll be enveloped in percussive bass, deconstructed shaabi, love, and chaos as 3phaz, Yas Meen Selectress, and DJ Cunt take the floor.

BUKHAR
BUKHAR is a Copenhagen-based platform curated by Yasmina, Muskila, and KUCHULU. The platform came into existence in 2022 through parties and club nights, and more recently through curated conversations. Through BUKHAR, the founders aim to cultivate the visibility of creatives who, similarly to them, don’t feel fully represented in DK club culture, pushing their progress as curators between countries. BUKHAR creates spaces to celebrate the founders’ own cultures and amplify cultures with people who share their experiences, introducing and cultivating underground musical styles that the community around BUKHAR listens to while introducing underground music to those who are new to it. 

3phaz
3Phaz is a Cairo-based musician obsessed with bass, distortion, and the deconstruction of the Shaabi aesthetic. His work is focused on amplifying the raw energy of Shaabi music and taking it a step further, the kind of raw energy you are bombarded with on the streets of Cairo as motorbikes and rickshaws fly by, blasting Shaabi through their busted speakers.

Yas Meen Selectress
Yas Meen Selectress, is an Egyptian multi-genre DJ based in Cairo, crafting rhythmic club experiences with a blend of percussive bass and cultural nuances. Drawing from her Egyptian upbringing and a decade in New York, her sets create a fresh blend between Middle Eastern electronic music and rhythmic bass music influenced by New York’s diasporic club scene. 

Dj Cunt
Dj Cunt is the moniker of a producer/artist based in Copenhagen. Their sets seem like a never-ending non-binary clusterfuck with a deep passion for the roots of underground music. In their compositions and collaborations, they create worlds that invite stories centering on unrestricted chaos, love, and pain.

ALICE at Stairway
While the concert hall at Nørre Allé 7 is renovating, ALICE is located at the music venue Stairway in Vanløse.
