After her stunning debut in 2017 – labelled “One of the most charming albums of the year” by The Guardian – nomadic songwriter Bedouine is back with another collection of beautiful songs that send the thoughts in the direction of great folk singers such as Joni Mitchell, Linda Perhacs and Karen Dalton. Born in Aleppo in Syria by Armenian parents and now based in LA, Bedouine – aka Azniv Korkejian – is not just a nomad in name, and her second record has been influenced by her own wanderlust, displacement, and curiosity. On ‘Bird Songs of a Killjoy’ she has once again teamed up with producer and multiinstrumentalist Gus Seyffert (Beck, Norah Jones), and once again she has managed to create a warm, organic and sensual folk univers, which will unfold when she visits ALICE in September.
