Assegai
Support will be delivered by Aarhus-based band Assegai. Assegai consists of Thomas Nørgaard (bass), Markus Sollid (saxofon), Kristian Obling (guitar), and Jesper Moeslund (drums), and together they create an odd type of instrumental rock-music, that is just as reminiscent of moorlands and oakwoods as of savannahs and deserts with plenty of rhythmic and sonic inspiration from North and East African artists. Assegai should have played at this year’s Roskilde Festival, which was sadly cancelled due to corona virus. Also their support show for Horse Lords, who could not go on tour, got cancelled. So we’re happy to be able to present them on a double bill with Gabestok.
Gabestok
To take you further down a dark path, we have invited Danish black metal band Gabestok to open the evening. Gabestok has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting bands from the new black metal scene around the Copenhagen venue Mayhem (fitting name, by the way!). Their new album ‘Tre’ shows just how menacing they can sound with a raw lo-fi sound and chilling synths. But first of all they have to be experienced live!
