London-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ana Silvera creates folk and bluegrass-tinged tunes that are lyrical, intimate and emotive. Silvera’s songs are vignettes, poignant snapshots in time that weave poetry and melody to magical effect. She’s duetted with artists including Imogen Heap and Alan Hampton (Fiona Apple, Andrew Bird), performed at prestigious venues and festivals including SXSW, Royal Opera House (UK) and Iceland Airwaves and most recently was featured as an official showcase artist for Folk Alliance International, Montreal.
She has toured extensively with talented collaborators including Danish violinist Bjarke Falgren and double bassist Jasper Høiby and has won plaudits from press and radio including The Guardian, BBC Radio 6, SWR Radiophon and NDR. Her latest release, a collaboration with kora master Sefo Kanueteh entitled ‘Light, Console Me’ was released in November 2020. ALICE are delighted to present this extraordinary talent with a superb band of Danish musicians in the intimate setting of ALICE.
