It’s no wonder the Buenos Aires-based noise rock quartet Blanco Teta is notorious for their live shows. Attending a Blanco Teta concert is simply an immersive experience of relentless energy and noisy madness! At the intersection of punk’s aggressiveness and simplicity and the distorted soundscapes of noise, the band channels an angry transfeminist agenda into intense outbursts and boundary-pushing performances. In Blanco Teta’s unique soundscape, the typically punk-centric guitar is replaced by a cello, which is just one of many surprises and twists that make them an irresistible audience magnet.
Blanco Teta first began making waves in Buenos Aires’ underground in 2017, where they are part of a larger collective of artists and activists in the city’s experimental art scene, focusing on queer and transfeminist themes. Nonetheless, Blanco Teta’s insane live shows and quirky releases quickly gained them international attention, sending them on tours and festivals around the world. Now, they are ready to take ALICE by storm when they visit our venue this October, promoting their latest album “Rompepaga” (2023).
