The evening’s three acts – Prison Religion, Son of Seth, and Fatäk – push the nervous system into the red zone with pounding beats, screaming vocals, and tearing noise. American duo Prison Religion delivers a dark amalgamation of noise, screamo-rap, and club music. Son of Seth grips the audience with deathly industrial sounds, while Parisian Fatäk creates darkly pulsating soundscapes.

Prison Religion
From Richmond, Virginia, comes the duo consisting of two friends, Parker Black and Warren Jones. Under the name Prison Religion, they have been tearing through genres like rap, techno, noise, and hardcore punk since 2016, like a shredder devouring a stack of paper. You could describe it as hardcore punk for raver types or club music for noise enthusiasts. Their album “Beachhead” made it onto The Wire’s list of the best electronic albums in 2019.

For those who enjoy exploring the outer realms of experimental electronic music, Prison Religion opens a veritable portal. Participating in one of their live performances is a dark, noisy, overwhelming, and transformative experience: Pumping industrial beats push the nervous system into the red zone, interrupted only by frenzied screamo-rap. The duo aims to create a sonic expression on par with a contemporary world where total collapse is already a reality. Their latest release, “Hard Industrial Bop,” delves into pure noise. As VICE put it:

“They draw on slivered, staticky forms of electronic music—industrial, noise, techno, and the sort of glass-shattering bass-heavy stuff that people have come to call deconstructed club music (whatever that means). But they also draw on legacies of metal and hardcore, throwing their bodies around at shows, punching low ceilings and screaming over PAs pushed to their upper limits.”

Son of Seth
Son of Seth combines Death-Industrial with Punk Electronics and rave elements, creating an explosive live performance that grips the listener and ensnares the mind. Heavy beats and screeching vocals, followed by distorted sounds of apocalyptic nature set the stage for this dystopic renegade. Son of Seth has shared the stage with artists such as, Anna Von Hausswolf, Offermose, Brighter Death Now, Duma, Luis Vasques (The Soft Moon), Iron Sight, Black Curse and Spirit Possession.

Fatäk
Fatäk – aka Leila Bélangeon – is a multi-faceted artist, DJ, producer, composer, singer, exploring different musical currents to travel through eclectic grooves and soundscapes. Originally from Paris, her last releases on Janushoved introduced her more deeply to the Danish scene. She explores a contemporary terrain of her own, filled with emotional waves and shamanic rhythms that transport you into new soundscapes.
