Bjonko Stosic born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, comes from a family of musicians from the town of Bitola in the Republic of Macedonia. He was mentored by roma Macedonian clarinet legend Chapche Naumovski which balkan sound and playing-phrases is typical for the region of South Macedonia.
For more than two decades, Bjonko has developed and delivered wild and fierce Balkan Beats on clarinet and saxophone to the Scandinavian music scene. Bjonko represents a new style within the Balkan music tradition. He brings Balkan music into dialogue with contemporary music, fired by a driving Macedonian impro style. A new hybrid that draws the audience out of their chairs and onto the dance floor. On this night, Bjonko will play at ALICE as part of his album release tour for “Colours in Motion” (2019), feat Balkan beats DJ Uce aka Uros Petkovic.
