The iconic Istanbul singer Gaye Su Akyol returns to Denmark with her alluring fusion of Turkish traditions, alternative rock and psychedelic tunes. She already played several amazing shows at ALICE, Roskilde Festival and Badesøen Festival. This Spring, she will perform at ALICE på Stairway bringing her fourth album “Anadolu Ejderi” (Glitterbeat Records). The concert is a part of ‘Anatolian Dragon’ – The World Tour. The ticket sales start on Friday 18. November at 12AM.

Gaye Su Akyol is one of the most interesting acts from the Turkish alternative scene. In her catchy mix between alternative rock, Anatolian and Greek folk music and Turkish psych, roaring strings and electric guitar twang meet dazzling saz playing and rock drums. At the center of it all, Gaye Su Akyol’s powerful voice ties the many different inspirations together into a personal expression.

Since Gaye Su Akyol released her debut already in 2014, things have gone fast for the iconic Istanbul singer. Soon, her fourth album “Anadolu Ejderi” (Anatolian Dragon) will be out on Glitterbeat Records. Gaye Su Akyol and her magnificent live band have already played several concerts at ALICE, Roskilde Festival and Badesøen Festival, and it is a party every time. While the concert hall at Nørre Allé 7 is getting a new ventilation system, ALICE is moving into the music venue Stairway in Vanløse on January 1. 2023.
