Free Folk Mondays are back with an atmospheric night of alternative folk sounds – this time with two bright stars from Copenhagen’s free folk underground.

Bahima is a new and original group mixing impressions from East and West. Indian tablas meet piano and guitar, oriental scales meet Danish lyrics. Originally a duo with Barbara Mathiesen and Gabriel Svastha, Bahima has now expanded into a quartet with David Slusarski (bass) and Amalie Askjær Staunæs (cello) adding new flavours to this exciting universe.

Own Road’s music exists in a twilight space between American folk music, singer-songwriter, and psychedelica. With a beautiful voice, guitars, percussion as well as more exotic instruments, Own Road’s compositions move effortlessly between anxiety, melodic beauty, and otherworldly abandon.
