It is with deep regret we have to announce that the tour with Ghetto Kumbé has been cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic, and that the concert at ALICE is cancelled too. We’re working on a new date in the future. All ticket holders for the show at ALICE will get their tickets automatically refunded via Billetto within 21 days. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to see Ghetto Kumbé in Denmark soon.

Ghetto Kumbé

Ghetto Kumbé is the meeting in Bogotá of 3 great Colombian musicians from the Caribbean coast. A combo of wizards’ singers and percussionists calling the public all around the world to join their digital rumba. Their transcendent ritual is made with a powerfull base of percussion, Caribbean house beats and traditional afro Colombian rythmes inspired from west Africa. Ghetto Kumbé released three EPs and they’re soon ready with their debut album. They played a hypnotising concert at Roskilde Festival in 2019, and should have played at ALICE in April, but had to cancel due to corona virus. But we are very happy to be able to present them in October instead with support from the Danish duo Mambe & Danochilango and DJ DOPIA DOBLE SYSTEMA.

Sonic travellers, worthy citizens of the global village, the music of Mambe & Danochilango travels through genres as diverse as Tribal, Kuduro, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Balkan and Cumbia but they prefer to call it “Ethnic-Bass”. This duet with Latin roots and Scandinavian influence shows the newest mixtures of the world music and will play a support set before Ghetto Kumbé.
