As a consequence of the widespread global situation with Corona virus/COVID-19, Konstrukt have sadly been forced to cancel their Spring tour. Nonetheless, we are very happy to announce that their concert at ALICE has been moved to a new date – from April 18 till September 5. All purchased tickets can be used for the new date. Please stay tuned about updates on ALICE and the Corona virus situation here.
The Turkish freejazz ravers in KONSTRUKT formed their group in 2008 in Istanbul, Turkey. They got their major breakthrough after a recording with Peter Brötzmann, who fell in love with the band at a concert in Istanbul the same year. Ever since, the band has been garnering attention not only back home in Turkey but also within European improvised music circles. They have done recordings with some significant names like Peter Brötzmann, Joe McPhee, Thurston Moore and Keiji Haino just to mention a few. Their latest collaboration with the renowned jazz musician Ken Vandermark has led to the magnificent free jazz record “Kozmik Bazaar” (Karlrecords, 2019). After their great shows at ALICE and Roskilde Festival, we’re happy to have Konstrukt back at Nørrebro this Spring.
