We are very happy to once again present the highly acclaimed Copenhagen-based composer and viola player Astrid Sonne when she plays at ALICE Summer Series. Sall & the Ghosts will open with a performance.

Summer is here, and after months of lockdown we are excited to finally open for concerts again. With ALICE Summer Series we present a series of amazing local acts in the yard of Nørre Allé 7, in collaboration with Union. The outdoor concerts will take place on selected weekend afternoons all Summer between June 12th and August 15th, all seated and safe, and with a limited amount of tickets in order to keep the COVID-19-restrictions from the Danish authorities. We proudly present Dreamers’ Circus, Kogekunst, Dawda Jobarteh, Josefine Opsahl, Basco, Astrid Sonne, Spellcaster, Det Yderste Hav, Erna, Lund & Pultz Melbye, Lucrecia Dalt and more.

Due to limited capacity, we recommend you to buy your tickets in presale via Billetto. All concerts cost 100 DKK (50 DKK for children up to the age of 13).

We’re updating the programme regularly. Please stay tuned on our website and via the Facebook-event. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to a lot of lovely concerts in the yard all Summer!

Astrid Sonne

The highly acclaimed Copenhagen-based composer and viola player Astrid Sonne keeps surprising her audience and listeners, and has also done so at ALICE in many different constellations and with wonderful works. With a background in classical music, she opens up an electronic space to channel different perceptions of sensory and emotional states of being through open, melodic compositions. Key performances and commissions to date include Berlin Atonal 2018, where she performed her work ‘Ephemeral’ with a choir; and ‘Cycles of Lost and Found’ for strings and electronics, premiered at Rewire Festival 2019.

Sall & the Ghosts

Sall Lam Toro is a Guinean-Portuguese transqueer interdisciplinary artist living in Copenhagen working with performance art, sculpture, music, poetry, video, and installation art around the themes of decolonial and queering politics, the concepts of co-living and co-creation within interactive performance and finally, processes of disrupting time. Together with the painter Cistina Lavin and the performance artist Alba Liv, they will perform a live work spanding between Lavin’s expressive paintings, audio vocal samples and performance.
